Q. What is the system requirements to run the ECM Module?
A. Server Requirements
The ECM Module has been developed to run exclusively on web sites hosted on Windows Servers with Internet Information Server 5.0 or higher and ASP 3.0 Installed. No other Platforms are supported.

Database Requirements
The ECM Module supports Microsoft Access database. You don't need to own a license of MS Access in order to use the access database. Also, we provide the SQL Server database generation script for SQL Server 2000\2005 along with instructions to connect to it. If you don't have SQL Server 2000, you can use MSDE 2000 which is a scaled down version of SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Express 2005 both free from Microsoft's web site.

Components
This application supports a 3rd party component to send auto emails : CDONTS, ASPMail, ASPEmail.

Internet Explorer 6 or higher on a windows based PC is required to use the full features and system admin.

Q. Is the source code of the ECM module provided, or its a hosted application?
A. Sure thing, The Enterprise Content Management Module (ECM) comes complete with the source code and it runs under your own domain and site. You don't have to pay any recurring fees or rely on a 3rd party company to maintain your ECM on your site. No additional software, or monthly payments is required and it comes packed with everything you need to provide a fully accessible and easy to use ECM system on your web site or your Intranet.

Q. When I order, do I get access to the FULL package online?
A. You bet! You will immediately receive a password to log in and download the code, watch the videos, listen to the audios and print out the PDF documents. Instant access, 24/7.

Q. Why you choose ASP 3.0 as a development language over other languages for the Exam Management Module?
A. Currently, there are many development languages with nice features, for instance PHP, CFM, JSP, and .NET are all powerful development languages, as good as ASP 3. Hardware is getting cheaper too, having a 4 CPU server is now more affordable than ever. There are allot of debates going on wither to upgrade ASP based applications to .NET but for us, we honestly see no great advantage in doing so. As you can see for yourself that many sites are still not making the shift to .NET (domain registrar godaddy.com, is still running on ASP, even Microsoft's official website has many sections still written in ASP). We tend to focus more on the flexibility and the reliability of the application, rather than on what platform it's running on. Many ASP based sites reportedly handles huge amounts of traffic and data exchanges just fine (over three thousand unique visitors per day is the norm). However, if a customer requires us to develop a .NET version of the suite, we are more than happy to help, as a separate contract.

Q. I really want to get your ECM Module, but I'm not having allot of documents to process and manage yet, should I wait?
A. You certainly could, but it would be smarter to be prepared when your document processing number grows, its would be wise to start having a standard of managing your documents today the right way, rather than waiting a few years when some documents are lost. We simply can't perform miracles if you have a thousand un-indexed document laying around in your office and expect the ECM module to archive, index and store all of them by itself. Your employees are the driving force behind all the data entering. The ECM module can help you minimize the time you spend retrieving a document and allows you to archive and route it based on best practices currently used by many successful businesses.

Q. How long has Ready Web Projects been available and how many people are using it?
A. The Ready Web Projects suite of software has been available for over three years and is now being used by thousands of people worldwide.

Q. How is The ECM Module different from other ECM\DMS software?
A. It's different because it address the main issues in the document management process. It can store and scan a document and be accessed by multiple users, plus, it can assign a document to a different group or department, so not only you have a document management software, you also get information routing capability. All put together in one system.

Q. Is there is a limit on the number of Indexes and Documents?
A. No, you can create as many documents as you want, as for the indexes, you can create some for Incoming documents, outgoing documents, HR documents, Contracts,...etc. You can also, write some notes\ comments on each document so that people involved with it can view them and take appropriate actions.

Q. Document Management Systems with mechanical filing cabinets has been around for  years, what makes your ECM Module any different?
A. Yes, Paper based filing, equipped with capable secretaries and indexed mechanical filing cabinets has been around for years. What we offer is a solution for businesses that are over-whelmed with over flowing documents, under staffed and looking for a way out. If you're not faced with such situations, then the ECM\ DMS isn't for you. We try to offer our services to those who truly need it.

Q. How soon can I expect to see results?
A. Most clients report that they are becoming enabled to manage the status of each document much better than using the manual process. Documents are no longer lost and can be retrieved with a click of a mouse. Everything is stored digitally and filing cabinets are fading away, and your documents are traveling back and forth between departments in a networked world.

Q. How easy is it to install?
A. The installation process is very easy and is explained in full detail in the user manual. Basically all you need to do is to unzip and upload some files to the web server (BY FTP) and update the database connection string by modifying a single line of code in a text file.

Q. My Web Host is Linux and I have a MySQL database, will that work?
A. Unfortunately no. This application has been developed to run exclusively on a Windows Based Server using MS-Access or SQL Server as the database. No other platforms are supported.
