Q. What is the system requirements to run the Knowledge Base Module?
A. Server Requirements
The Knowledge Base Module has been developed to run exclusively on web sites hosted on Windows Servers with Internet Information Server 5.0 or higher and ASP 3.0 Installed. No other Platforms are supported.

Database Requirements
The Knowledge Base Module supports Microsoft Access database. You don't need to own a license of MS Access in order to use the access database. Also, we provide the SQL Server database generation script for SQL Server 2000\2005 along with instructions to connect to it. If you don't have SQL Server 2000, you can use MSDE 2000 which is a scaled down version of SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Express 2005 both free from Microsoft's web site.

Components
This application supports a 3rd party component to send auto emails : CDONTS, ASPMail, ASPEmail.

Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher on a windows based PC is required to use full features and system administration.

Q. Is the source code of the Knowledge Base module provided, or its a hosted application?
A. Ofcourse, The Knowledge Base Module comes complete with the source code and it runs under your own domain and site. You don't have to pay any recurring fees or rely on a 3rd party company to maintain your knowledge base on your site. No additional software, or monthly payments is required and it comes packed with everything you need to provide a fully accessible and easy to use Knowledge base and customer support system on your web site.

Q. What if I just want to setup The Knowledge Base Module to get things going and then have one of my staff members or a hired contractor take over?
A. That's fine. When you first start out, you as the owner of your business will probably want to learn how to find your way around the Knowledge Base Module to support your product or service. This may take a day or two. After that, you can either have a staff member handle the Knowledge Base Module full time or hire an outside contractor. Q. My Web Host is Linux and I have a MySQL database, will that work?
A. Unfortunately no. This application has been developed to run exclusively on a Windows Based Server using MS-Access or SQL Server as the database. No other platforms are supported.
